Nikon Z9 oficialmente anunciada

Acho que muita gente. A Z9 continua indisponível em todas as lojas, exceto pelo anúncio do Mercado Livre a 55 mil reais…

https://www.cameraegg.org/nikon-z9-in-stock-availability-tracker/

"It strikes me that Nikon has once again managed a “just in time” response that has stemmed the outflow of professionals from a Nikon mount.

The first time this happened was in 2007, with the introduction of the D3…"

“Well, today, the Z9 can be said to have been the camera that staunched the latest round of Nikon pros from switching. The Internet had certainly whipped up the notion that “Sony mirrorless cameras focus better,” though the reality of that statement had a lot of footnotes, caveats, and nuances and wasn’t accurate. Even some Nikon DSLR pros seemed to slowly come around to thinking that Sony had some advantage (and were mostly wrong; the D6, used correctly, is uncanny in focus, though only over the area within the one-third points)…”

“I’ve been relatively surprised by the number of Nikon pros I talk to and work with that all recently decided to opt for a Z9 to see what all the excitement was about and maybe stop them from thinking about Sony. And it did. Nikon has once again managed to pull off a “just in time” technology change that keeps them in the game.”

"Intel buying Tower, therefore, means that Intel will have even more Nikon steppers in their fabs (they already have a number for non CPU chips). Which is sort of where Nikon is with Sony Semiconductor, if I’m not mistaken. So, regardless of whether Nikon is sourcing image sensors from Sony or Tower these days, there’s a behind the scenes relationship where both are the customers of each other. That’s led to all kinds of advances over the years, most of which don’t really get talked about. Nikon has long been quiet about the part they’ve played in image sensor technologies, but it’s clear they’ve been a player in them, mostly because any advance has had to be made on their equipment.

I see the Intel acquisition as actually being good for Nikon, as it strengthens a relationship that had weakened."

https://www.zsystemuser.com/z-mount-cameras/nikon-z-camera-reviews/nikon-z9-camera-review.html

Abaixo, transcrevo alguns trechos:

"…There’s been a lot for me to write because the Z9 is a lot of camera. Despite my preface at the start of the review, I think I need to repeat this: the Z9 is the best Z System camera, by far, and arguably one of the two or three best cameras you can buy, period. Which is saying a lot, and should be viewed as a highly positive comment. Given the US$5500 price—which places it lower than the Canon R3 and Sony A1—it’s difficult to complain about what you’re getting for your money. The Z9 is a top performer, and a bit of a bargain.

. Compared to the Canon R3 — The Z9 has more pixels, no mechanical shutter, 8K video (with no overheating), and costs less.
. Compared to the Sony A1 — The Z9 has no mechanical shutter, no video limits (or overheating issues), and costs less.
. But…My advice is the same as always: don’t be a mount switcher. There’s much to be said in keeping continuity of lenses, accessories, menus, nomenclature, and other UX. Once in a system, you should stick with that system, I believe…"

i
“…My recommendation, below, may surprise some of you after all my negativity about things. For wildlife I’d tend to say that the camera is Highly Recommended. But I’m going to stick with a straight Recommended because there are too many small things in the Z9 that will frustrate some photographers. A sports photographer will gripe about 45mp, and an event photographer might gripe about frequency-based lighting issues that might arise, for example. So it’s difficult for me to consider putting a “highly” in front the “recommended” word. On the other hand, it’s an easy camera to recommend to most serious photographers, simply because the Z9 is a serious camera that does most everything well…”

i
“…A Highly Recommended rating to me would mean that the camera in question is at the very top of the heap. I simply can’t say that about the Z9 overall. No user-named settings files (Sony A1). No sensor-shift shooting (A1, OM-1, and more). No digital audio connection (GH5, R3, A1, and more). Loss of a useful button (AE-L/AF-L). Then we add in loss of things that a lot of pros were using (e.g. instant button override of metering system) and a host of menu/customization gremlins, and it feels to me that the Z9 came up a little short of where it could have been. All of which makes it difficult to add Highly in front of Recommended…”
